This could be something to do with the water ways possibly being blocked. Someone on here had the same problem but I think he spotted it by only one side of the rad not warming up. Might be worth you checking that.

I think it was Jock and he fixed it by using kettle descaler. I think - don't quote me and don't do anything till you have confirmed it.

I would do loads of research before you do anything.

Just took my mates 300zx out and yes it has lost alot of power, he didnt know how much power it should be pushing out coz this is first time owning one, but from mine compared to his the power loss is stupid, it feels like a punto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after we got back and a little bit of putting the foot down, the water was boiling on the passengers side and slight steam coming from the same side behind and under the head light.......... do you think is could be head gasket, any help would be good please, also can a TT engine from a manual fit straight into an TT auto. thx karl

I'm no expert but if you have steam coming out behind the headlight, it could be more than 1 problem. Cylinder head is definatly a possible but I would check for split pipes first and check what the water level is doing.

As far as I know, the manual and auto engines are the same, but the turbos on the auto are slightly smaller for easier spool up. I might be wrong though. Do some digging!

Good luck
