when you said £50 for ferry is that per person or car. I'm Def going but trying to get my mates to come. need some idea on prices for them.

ps; looks like the ferry would be around £300 for car plus driver without taking a bunk.

Im a defo, but wont be doing the 45 min crossing from dover - calais. Ill be doing the 17.5 hour crossing from Rosyth-zeebrugge. Pretty likely that ill be out my face by the time i get there. :duffer:

About police, better to speed in Belgium than France.

 

1) In Belgium : they catch you and you have to pay cash, not cool but after that you can continue your trip

 

2) In France : the catch you at high speed, they take your car! not for 1 day, 1 week or 1 month, FOREVER and then you go to court, 3 guys from Canonball were caught last year at over 250kph, they took their 3 cars and 1 month ago, the court asked the 3 guys for huge $$$ and they got 3months jail "on suspend" (don't know the exact word, it's when you don't have to do it except you are caught again)

 

My advice : take the straighest way from Calais to Belgium and take it easy

or sail directly to ZeeBrugge in Belgium.

They caught a Belgium guy this weekend doing 246 kmp/h in the nord of

France Free fom the fine he's gonna get ,they took away his driving license

for a minimum of 6 months. So they acctualy can take our license in a foreign

country. And remember with the new laws on super fines in Belgium in

extreme cases they go up to 5000 euro , not shure if these figures also

count for foreign people if they get caught overhere.
