Help today

Hi guys

Thanks for all your help & advice today. Sure I'll be taking the offers up along the way!

Resigned to the insurance, nothing I can do, so I'll just look forward to picking it up at the weekend and enjoy the drive down from Scotland - good tester.

Andy, I think for peace of mind I need the full monty, cam belt, filters, watwer pump, oil change and locate this damn oil leak. If its expensive I will be crying out for help, the insurance premium has eaten into our maintenance allowance! Hiteq suggested - sound okay to you?

Your right Andy I am not far away at all - arent I the lucky one!!!

Looked at you events pics, looks fun, whats the airfield thing about?

Di

Di,

Pleased that we could offer help.

The 'Airfield Day' was a recent excersion (sp?) to Kemble airfield just outside Cirencester, 6, or was it 7, 300s from this forum turned up, along with 50 other cars, on a 'beginners day' to learn about track driving.

We had an excellent blast around a very tight 1ml circuit, it was a very interesting, exhilarating and relatively safe way to find the cornering/handling limits of the cars, or in Andy's case just how hot you can get your brakes! biggrin.gif

Everyone walked away with v. large grins and a determination to have another go. The cost was pretty reasonable too, £50 for the day, cost me more in fuel than anything!

I think that the idea at the moment is to try and attend a 'track day' at Elvington, just outside York, in February next year, will probabally cost nearer £90 this time. Have a look at the web site of the organisers: www.easytrack.co.uk or keep an eye on the threads.

Warren made a film of our last day so if you've got the bandwith, its 5.6Mb, I would recommend downloading it: http://www.300zx.co.uk/rides/300z/kemble.wmv

Good to have you on the board by the way smile.gif

Thanks Tim

Sometimes I havent got a clue what your all talking about but I'm picking it up along the way!!!!

12 months listening to you lot & I'll be doing my own servicing!!!!

I'll keep my eye open for the next event - looks like a good opportunity to put faces to names.

Just looked at the Kemble track day, looked like great fun - get the feeling from the film that there is a good mixture of people in terms of knowledge, experience, abilities with zx's, so we wouldn't feel too out of it if we were to come to the next gathering. I'd have gone into those cones thats for sure!!!!!
