Road Tax

Quick query.... as most of you know I am selling a fiesta, and unfortunately it has no tax any more so I have had to SORN it. Everyone who comes to look at my car is telling me they want 150 - 200 quid off for the tax even thought it's 120? :xxx: Is there any way I can get the car taxed w/o having an insurance certificate??

Dont know to be honest.... :smash:

What about if you get a tempoary insurance for say 20 days and get it taxed on that?

Anyone know if that'll work?

you cant get it insured yourself becuase you lost your liscence...is that right ?

Get a Parent to Insure it on a tempoary basis, should cost peanuts. You'll need insurance anyway for people to take people on test drives..etc

...and just put 6 months tax on it.

Nah I can get insurance because I have my provisional licence, however that is £2000 + (the quotes I have been getting are assuming I pass my test at the end of next month when I have it booked). There is a possibility that i could insure it for a week or a month but i will have to do a little research into this. Will speak to my mum and dad later too then. As to whether or not i can use this, i dont think the old lady behind the desk at the PO will be able to tell the difference ;). Sod it, i might just make on in Word and print it off :D

you cant mate it needs a valid insurance document and you can guarantee that the person that serves you wont be the fit bird that eyes you up each time you walk in and generally knows you and might bend the rules a bit..

but it will be the old bat that serves you who is a witch and goes by the book!

 The old biddy behind the counter doesn't know what day of the week it is, since they introduced all the computers at my local PO last year the queues of pensioners has doubled cos she takes so long.... fit bird working at the post office.....??? Im gonna move to Cannock ;)
