Lucky ????????????????? :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal :D

lol my first car was a 1988 polo 1.3 CL a brand new clio is a pretty decent first car especially the sport 172 IMHO

I may be old fashioned but Im pleased for him and Im not. I dont agree with all this mom and dad pay for it lark because at 18 you should be buying your own things otherwise you stay wrapped up and its a fecking tough world if the wrap breaks.

Unless of course there millionaires then Ill shut up!

where in staffs are you Im in cannock

Stafford itself mate im from. Yeah i had to pay for everything, (not just driving) and i feel that I'm a better person for it. Nah they ain't millionaires, his dad was made redundand from a good job and got a good payout (bought himself an rx8 and both of his son's £13k+ cars new and insured them all on their own policies !! Jealous of his car (and his licence seein as i'm banned atm :() but anyway. 115 posts since dec '03? You're as bad as me. You drive a zed then?

no mate its an error I only joined 2 months ago when I got me car I live in Cannock.

Im on here everday !

dont know why it says 2003

thanks

chris

Im only 21 I have a TT SWB it cost me £2700 to insure TPFT

And Im mad enough to put about 120 ££ of petrol a week in it.

but so what I love it..

the petrol consumption isnt that bad but I drive wherever I go Whats the point in having a mint car to leave at home!

heres my car

chris ;)

Crackin car mate. How much NCB you got or any other driving awards which will reduce insurance? Insurance companie's take the p155 £1500 or thereabouts for a 1.25 zetec-s fiesta :( I guess i did get caught driving w/o insurance, not my fault (see thread) but hey)!

Maybe the young chap is level headed but I would not buy my son a potential death trap. Too much power for a begineer.

Yeah, although he did learn to drive (as in never driven before until this car) in a brand new RX8 so i guess he doesn't know anything different. Even took his test in the RX8 FFS !

I do agree though that much power for an inexperienced driver is ridiculous !

my mate's just bought himself a branding spanking new silver clio sport (after trading in a VTS). nippy, engine bay is tidy (but boring - most stuff is under the cover), interior is ok - bit sporty, exterior is... ok... Renault obviously saved the best bits for the V6 IMO. nice car tho.

Agreed one bloke round the corner has one with an ultra wide kit on it... looks the biz, sounds great, goes like a rocket and he's a student at stafford uni! Bit crap on the boot space though

I have 1 years NCB never claimed or crashed etc but the reason I have 1 years is because Ive changed/upgraded my car sometimes during a policy and the insurance company wont insure the car Ive moved up to so even though I never claimed and caused them the slightest bother they wont help me one bit so as far as Im concerned they dont get my couple of grands insurance a year.

Adrian flux had the cheak to say we wont change the policy from a rover 420 turbo to a nissan 300zx tt but well start you a new policy..

if someone was paying me over 1-2ks insurance a year and didnt seem a risk because theyd never claimed and it wanst as if they hadnt drove a performance car before Id be kissing ther ass for them to stay with my company..

Companies dont think simple anymore!

thanks chris :duffer:

Yup I know, had a discussion about this on my other thread about me losing my licence. Was a right bugger! I would have been enjoying 1 years NCB and gettin my fiesta insured for a tidy £700 if i hadn't screwed up :(

My first car was a fiesta which was a heap oh shite lol. I did own an Aprilia SR125 Scooter before that with a 182cc engine upgrade, racing gbox and Titanium Exhaust. I loved that bike it was so friggin quick, did 95 (darn good for a scooter) and 0-60 would whip cars like Clio Williams etc.

sounds like a beast. 95 on a scooter though..... scary !!

Yep it was, got it to hit a ton once down a very steep hill. Sold it to my brother for a grand (it was only 2 years old and i bought it new then spend 2 grand on mods), he wrecked it then got it knicked.

Owch :(
