Hi guys,

Just a quick Question about Racelogic TC.

1) Would i need to upgrade my clucth to a performance one to benefit from the RL RC? as i have a standard clutch at the moment.

2) would the RLTC6A max 12 cyl + ABS fit my car and say later on i wanted to say add launce control can i do that and if so how much would it cost to add LC?

Thanks Guys

I'm no expert, but no need to change the clutch

it picks up the signal from the abs and works by compairing the speed of the front wheels to the rears. on zero slip it will not allow any differance in wheel speed 10% will allow the rears to atain that percentage of wheel speed over the front.once it is reached it cuts the pulse rate of the injectors untill it is back within the parameter set.

no idea if launch can be added, a clutch switch can be added and it has the software to run it, ie full throttle gear change , so touch wood no loss of boost. as to which model is the best for a zed no idea . I have it fitted but the car is not with me at present. an excellent mod, flatters your driving.

no need to change clutch, when you order RTLC tell them its for a zed (they wil send you a zed specific wiring plan, and I believe you can buy the launch cble and add it in but in my experience the add ons cost a lot more than if you buy it as a package

I read an article a short while ago, the guy said to get best benefit, hold the throttle bouncing off the limiter and drop the clutch, he specified this method required a good clutch, whats your thought on this?

My experience with traction control is dropping the clutch is the worse thing you can do.

It causes instant wheel spin and then the TC starts its process of misfiring to get the revs down, the revs drop even more because you dropped the clutch in the first place. The 2 combine causing the revs drop very low and the car bogs down.

The best way is to keep the revs bouncing at 4500 and then slip the clutch out letting the TC do its job keeping the wheels from spinning.

Whats this ABS think you are talking about on the RLTC? It works off your ABS.

Yeh agreed, I thought it was asking too much of the TC, I must admit I was suprised to hear they would cope with that much, this guy seems to have a lot of knowledge as well, fook knows what system this was, but I,m sure it was a ragelogic, going to have to retrace my steps and find the article again.

I think I remember seeing it.

But different cars react differently to different situations.

I have done it by dropping the clutch and letting the TC do the job and it worked. But you have to set the rev limiter at the right setting.

I have also done it with slipping the clutch out, and it is a lot quicker. Sometimes the TC doesnt activate which is a bonus.
