Just like to say a massive THANK YOU to Phil (Spinksy) who helped me with removing my plenum yesterday.

 

We followed Andy FAQ and lets just say, the FAQ reads easier than what it is.

 

Now, new injectors, PCV Valves (When I find out where they go! :D ), plugs, new harness required (Most of my connectors broke, especially the injector ones, there stupidly hard to get off without snapping!!) and then a shiny new Plenum!!!

 

My car now has no gearbox and no plenum, really horrible sight seeing it stripped down so far, its putting it back together that'll be fun! :)

 

I'll keep u posted with developments over the next few weeks, loads of stuff going on, hopefully Phil's missus wont have him hoovering and he can get his ass over to the garage and help me! :D

Saturday morning is when all the plenum and bits go back on, so if you want mate, I can pick you up on the way to Grantham or you can come and fetch me? I dont mind and it makes sense to only take one car!

 

Tis so true about all the cuts and grazes you get from removing the plenum, my hands look like I have had a fight with my dog, all cut up 'n' stuff!! :) :p

Did you swop the coil packs sarge? If so, why? Is this a routine maintenance thing?

 

Also, I need to get hold of a new harness ASAP and connectors for my coilpacks and injectors. Any ideas? :)

No mate just swopped the coil pack brackets ;) and Spark plugs. If want connectors then get in touch with Dave C (petrolheads) in the traders section bud :D
