Had a look at an N/A today- but it was just not as good as my old one. Now I realise what a total idiot I was to let that one go. I think there is a LOAD of dross out there, and only a few good ones left.

 

It was pretty loud (but stock knackered exhaust), and when I drove it it just didn't feel right. It felt a bit juddery at all speeds, kind of like there was a slight vibration all the time. Is this likely to be the centre bearing or prop shaft? It didn't feel particularly smooth to me, but I'm almost forgetting what a good one feels to drive now.

 

Someone sell me a good one!! I am really desperate to have a look at one that really is running well. When he turned the key and started the car up there was just something in the sound of the engine that I didn't like. How long's it going to take to find one I'm happy with?

Cheers- I'm still around, but missing being in a zed. I'm really looking for an SWB N/A, but I might have to concede that it's not going to be easy. I would go for anything in very good condition. The money is going to burn a hole in my pocket soon. Is it possible the car I saw needed something done to the prop shaft?

 

I phoned up the place that bought mine back after I got rid of it- just on the offchance they still had it and I could buy it back again, but it was a long shot. They had sold it, so someone somewhere has got a lovely car- no-one one here's recently bought a red SWB NA with 300zx.co.uk stickers in the window have they?

The money is going to burn a hole in my pocket soon.
