Personally, I'd get a caddy and a drive seperately and do it myself - really easy, just a case of opening the caddy and putting the drive in.

 

Can get a USB 2 or firewire caddy for about £15 - £20, then choose whatever size hard drive you want. Can get a 200gig drive from ebuyer.com for £62.33

Here you go mate :) The caddy is the enclosure the drive sits in on your desktop.

Yup, that'll work :)

 

If you're using Win XP, then it should just auto-detect as a USB mass storage device.

Yup...XP home.

so if i buy those two bits will i need anything else or is that all i need to make it work??

 

the caddy says it includes a fan and power adaptor so im thinkin thats all i need.
