FAO Russ Carbon Clutch

THIS IS THE LAST CLUTCH YOU WILL EVER BUY FOR A Z!

This clutch will hold at least 1000 HP! You can slip this clutch against your e-brake and make boost sitting still to launch just like an automatic torque converter!

It has a fairly stock pedal feel with stock like engagement. It is as smooth as butter!

It can also be completely rebuilt.

Twin Disc Carbon-Carbon

List $2895.00

TT.Net Price $2655.00

Smithy got me a good price for mine at the time;)

I would actually say it felt lighter than my RPS clutch, which feels lighter than my old knackered stock cluthc

tempted , very tempted

can't wait to try it ;)

This really is an awesome clutch  it's probably capable of taking more torque/power than any other unit on the market today. Very expensive, but if you want something that will happliy take any kind of abuse and still be warrented with a free rebuild by RPS guarantee, it's gotta be worth the cash.

It also includes the RPS flywheel so not too bad, just wish i could afford one :(

cheers

might be giving you a shout smithy, going to see what one feels like, I know i have to go twin plate, its just a case of which one, and when the engine gets done, the car should be around 450 bhp 430lb ish, want something easy to use but will take alot of abuse, my ap paddle lasted around 3000miles at 364 bhp and 350lb, any sugestions?

Yeah that's the down side with paddles, they wear out quicker than organics.

Really depends on what abuse yer talking mate, the RPS MAX series will happily take that power and more, doesn't mind screaming starts, donuts now and then also being organic is only a little heavier than stock, i've ran this in mine for over 4 years now. THe MAX series 6 puck takes more abuse and even more power but wears a little quicker and at around the 400 quid mark pretty good value. A matching Fly if you don't have one is worth having too.

If cash is not a major issue than the carbon carbon was designed to be abused

RC Developments having ran out of suitable clutch kits for their 800bhp EVO ended up with the carbon carbon :nana2:

It's got to take alot of abuse, hopefully a lot of drag starts, think its got to be a twin plate, just which one exedy, hks, or the rps one.

Trust me deffo not the HKS one mate, you gotta drive a zed with one of these to know extra muscles required in the left leg :)

Dunno about the exedy really as not many Zeds if any using them so i guess the RPS is the one, probably the most expensive BUT it does feel like stock and comes with a far superior back up than any other.

The one that was in mine was an excedy 3puck paddle clutch remember what that felt like  that only lasted six months

I have gone for the rps max series 6puck, will have to see how it does
