girlfriends car wouldnt start thought it were starter motor.put new starter motor :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal on and found out factory fitted imoboliser will not disengage.does anyone know how to disconect it or how to bypass it. its a 1994 diesel escort

Run a wire from the back of the Ign Switch from the starter terminal to the starters solonoid.

 

Job done.

Scubie, give me a bell tomorrow i`ll talk you through it. Common fault with Fords is the switch in the door that activates the factory alarm (£14.00 from fords)
