I think its something to do with the climate control mate, is there a fan up there?

swbtt i have that too i disconnected the bugger and it still does it i played about with the black box at the weekend ! lol .i pushed it upwards and its almost silent now,it still gets on my nerves tho ,i would be grateful for some advice on how to cure it too!.

it does sound like a fan when you turn the engine off ,it slows down to a stop .

Yeh it sounds like a fan fellas lol, I also pushed it upwards and it quietend it down a bit, must be a fan in there as there is a vent for some reason, I just cannot figure what its for lol.

PMSL SOMONE HAD TO :p

yup its a fan for the climate control, it blows air over a sensor, quite a common problem for the bearings to go, strip it down and oil it up, that should keep it quiet for a while

thanks a million mike, much appreciated, will sort it tmrw :)

the small fan is to do with the climate control. You have to take it out and strip it down, give it a clean as it will be full of dirt and re-assemble. Helps to lube it up a bit as well. I then had to play around with the screw that holds the fan on by either tightening or loosening it until the noise went away.

explained here
