I have recently been caught driving w/o insurance :headvswall: (not entirely my fault i WAS insured, just that the details were wrong on my policy because my father set it up (as a birthday present) and omitted some details, i got pulled for something, given producer and documents were wrong....) an when i decalre this my insurance seems to go up >£400. This seems hardly fair to me as it does not make me any less of a good driver and I have a years no claims which has now become invalid :( Do I have to decalre a conviction such as this to insurance companies when renewing my insurance this month? If i don't will this invalidate my policy?

Cheers

I always buy cars over 10 years old so i can get classic insurance, big big savings.

Im 30 now so buying 10 year old cars costs me more in fixing them than insuring them LOL

:) Sorry m8.

The cheapest that i could get it is about 1770. :(

The conviction you have is a really high class, :headvswal

Al i can suggest is that you phone the chepest company back up and tell them you have had a cheaper quote by about 100 from someone else!!

:)

EErrmm....£2100 F/Comp, Mods declared,26yrs,(9yrsNCB)

The things that put insurance up is:-

Location

Mileage

Not Garaged overnight

Mods

Imported

Convictions(Obviously) :headvswal

Insurance wont drop reasonably till u r 30...The insurance companies have changed this not long ago from 25.

At 18 I used to insure my BMW M3 Race car on the road Fully kitted out with Nitrous and RollCage to name a few and that was only £1200...(Third Party Only)=Privelege

420£...but I'm old

your mum freaked when you spent £600 on your alloys LOL

my misses just freaked on spending £1500 on alloys im in the doghouse :(

insurance iv been paying £1300 for my TT with 1yrs no claims but iv just found someone who will insure me for £700 bit differant im happier :)

good luck finding a better quote

Blimey mate, those quotes are fookin' ridiculous!

Saying that, i know a guy who was quoted £1700 on

a f-reg nova!! (18yrs old).

Cheaper insurance seems the only good thing about

getting older! I paid £609 f/c for my z tt (jap), & my

daily driver (astra 1.6) on the same policy, with Houghtons.

Z is obviously in 'classic' status with limited mileage etc...

PS: I'm 35. ;)
