and then back to Le Touquet airport

Captain and co-pilot get down and dirty cleaning 3.5 litres of oil out of the various nooks and crannies - not something the white-glove merchants at BA are used to!

 

If you're going to have an oil leak, please god it's at ground level!

Entertainment? Have you ever heard the phrase "sixpence - shilling - sixpence - shilling?" (Translation available for younger viewers hehe).

 

Apparently the young new copilot had checked the oil on arrival but hadn't secured the oil filler cap properly... After we got down again, he was heard to mutter "they'll make me clean the plane..... with my shirt" hahahaha

 

Funny afterwards for sure (and yep the Zed got us home no probs :) ) but when you look out the window as the plane is clawing for height to see 50% of its engines spewing oil is ummm interesting no matter how many beers you've had :duffer:
