When it stopped raining I had another crack at smoothing the tailgate and altering the rear bumper today. All being well it should be finished by Saturday. However, while taking a break I tried to think if there was anything left I could get rid of and smooth over (as it seems I've done everything else! Check out my Rides for details :)).

Looking at the washer jets I wondered if it might be possible to relocate them to the scuttle panel somehow. I also seemed to remember that there are some makes of wiper that have integrated jets...was wondering if that might be a possibility? Think the bonnet could look much better without them...then again I could be getting just a little obsessed with this smoothing lark! :D Any ideas guys?

my washer jets are on the underside of bonnet

always good to have a hidden fuel filler

Hi Leigh,

My trusty Pug 405 has washer jets integrated into the wiper arm.

Trip to the scrappy maybe?? ;)

Any chance you have a pic of where you placed them on the panel mate? How easy was it to re-site them? :)

it looks like it would actually have been easier for nissan to mount them there, I think they look bloody aweful but not as bad as the god damn nipples they stuck on the UK front bumpers to clean the head lights

I have mine in the same place as SGT C. I'll try and get a pic if SGT C doesn't beat me to it

:(:( Sorry bud cant find any close ups......take a line from where they are now and just move them up into the vented part of the splash panal ;) pop it in to it from the top and fasten under the panal, you will of course have to take the panals off:D

Good question........... If i get time this weekend I will have a look at compatibility. (ooooo big word for 10:55pm...) lol

You could try TVR washer jets - they clip onto the wiper armsand spray onto the window as you wipe! They were 16.25 last year - try a TVR garage.

Well, I've kind of forced my hand here as I decided to whip 'em out after I'd finished working on the rear bumper and now the holes are in the process of being smoothed into the bonnet! :D So it's either going to be re-siting them on the scuttle panel (at a glance it looks easy enough) or finding out if the washer/arm combo is feasible. ;)

Cheers :) I customised it from a 99 spec front bumper. De-swaged and widened the front air dam to bring it level with the top of the lights.
