Hi, can anyone tell me if there is an alternative to buying strosek body kit parts direct from Germany?

I really need a new rear spoiler and liked the look of this, but I'm toying with the idea of going full wide arch at the same time and I understand a few of you have had strosek 'replica' arch kits fitted.

I've mailed PPS for some advice, but any comments in the meantime would be helpful!

Erm, Luke's site doesn'tmention the rear arches (unless I'm mistaken, and the picture I have of a strosek tail skin and LOW raised rear spoiler is like nothing I've seen on Luke's site, or anywhere else.

If someone posts an email address I will send the image for you to put up on this thread.

Thanks matey - if anyone can find me a rear spoiler kit like that for less that the 633 euros +shipping +vat that strosek are quoting, then I will be a happy bunny!

When you say Lukes Tail skin are you talking about replacing the whole glass etc on the back. If you are then I can assure you luke tail end is nothing like the Strosek, because the Stroseck replaces the complete rear hatch.+ What becomes the boot lid of the Strosek goes stait through leaving a gap under the tail skin spoiler where lukes is a solid lump there is no gap under the tail skin and it just becomes awater collecter.

Lukes wide arches are a lot cheeper than the Strosek and are more dramatic, not as suttle. So its up to you which you proffer. Also to bear in mind though is the strosek will fit stait on and need very little prepping. Lukes will take more prepping so cost more at the body shop. There are several other wide arch kits to look at Like "Evolusion Explosion" (my favorite) "Kaze Aerocraft" and a few by "ab_flug" All these I've mentioned are from Japan and the quality of them is superb and fit stait on and ready to paint + they are all cheeper than the strosek and not as old fashioned or Porsche looking.

Mark, the tail skin is the flat plate that covers the holes in the boot hatch when you remove the original spoiler. I believe this is required with just about every raised spoiler replacement as the holes on the replacements never match the holes in the boot lid. I hear what you say about the water catcher syndrome, but this can be smoothed out by a good bodyshop - just costs more dosh. I'm not sure how the strosek works in this area, do you have some experience of it - I've never seen one other than this photo (and I can't even remember where I found this!)

As for the rear arches, I'd be interetsed to know where I can find all the alternatives you mentioned. I've always understood that there were only 2 alternatives - the wide strosek (or copies thereof) and the narrower version by I forget who that has the porsche 944 type ridge along the top. Personally, I've always thought the later is a half-baked substitute for the real thing!

Ah not what i'm talking about but it you look at the Strosek site you'll see what I meant. I just had the holes welded on mine and put the 99 spec brake light pannel on the back Sorry no pics on this computor but if you look in my rides there is one pic of the back end.

Yuk thats the SE job and I'm not impressed, but what ever floats your boat.

I'll have a rumage for the web pages you need and post them up for you. I'm going to make my own wide arch kit soon so depending on how well it turns out there may be another on the market

Have a talk with peter at PPS my car is there at the moment and he's putting the original strosek wide arches , tailgate skin and rear spoiler on.

Here you go some site worth a peep before you start you body mods.

http://www.ab-flug.co.jp You have to go to gallery then scroll down to Z32

http://www.whifbitz.co.uk A bit too expensive but it the only link I'vr got for the Evolution Explosion wide archs and not a good pic.

http://www.zcentre.co.uk Lukes suff is not bad + he's farely fast at turning it round and he's a nice bloke with tons of info and if it aint on his site he still might have it so ask.

Mark - I don't like the SE kit at all, it's the strosek one I like, but I just had a look at ABFLUG and there's some nice bits on there too.

First step is to sort the spoiler out, then decide if I go with the full wide arch.

I emailed PPS in the week for some more info, but I'd be interested to know more.

Did you buy the strosek kit and get PPS to fit it - or have they supplied it too? - Can I ask how much it is all costing and what you have done about the rear wheels?

Plenty of kits to choose from there, many of which not seen on this forum.

I bought the strosek kit in Germany It was around 3000 pounds for the

wide arch , tailgate skin , rear spoiler , rear light panel .

I didn't like the front so i bought a evolution signature front bumper and

a border vented hood.

The rear wheels are oz futura 3piece rims they are specialy made by oz

for strosek cause you'r gonna need an offset of -31 for the widebody.

Words so well spoken by Chris from GetGReedy.

If your serious obout your Zed It's just GOT to be done at some point in the modification process

I've always thought so to!

If you're keeping your zed, treat it well and like your wife, watch her put some weight on around her hips!

God knows I've spent enough under the bonnet for quite a while! Now the bodywork needs a coat of looking at. - It's just a question of deciding the best look, cause I still want it to look different fromall the other wide zeds.

Then your going to have to look to the Orient or go custom with someone like dream-machine.

Having said all that I've said above I've just looked at the price of Lukes kit and its cheeper than I thought. So i could get that sorted vey quickly which means Its Luke Strosek Copy for me :nelson:
