I should have stayed in bed this weekend

what a weekend wanted to get an MOT on me silver Z on sat, went to start it in the morn and the bat was flat, had to go to me work and pick up a battery jumper got back, started it but it would not run on all 6 cylinders gave up in the end! went to open the car up but it had locked the keys in the ignition :headvswal

had to then break into the car to get them out.

Took all the plugs out today found only a couple to be fouled up cleaned them up and put it all back together started her up still not running on all six then some thing went bang and it seized solid.

I give up with it, so its going to be broken up for bits (see items forsale)

Sorry to hear about your awful weekend so far.

Are you sure it has blown up? Surely it cannot be that bad?

What happened for it to make 'that noise'?

its seized solid made a nasty bottom end nock before it cut out so im guessing the rod or piston has given up. all will be revealed when it gets stripped

John, welcome to my world mate, now I know why I sold both my 300's. I saw cartman from this forum last night and he was dropping oil like a good un and his car also set on fire to some degree when he was doing doughnuts, I also saw a Silver Z in a car park in Bristol with oil all over the floor with a blown engine too.

well it had its chance to run :) I want to start rebuilding me blue one, so havent the time to spend on this one + im going to swap the best bits over for mine and if I make me money back on it im not bothered.

I think its the bottom end that went bang from the sound of it, I used the bottom end from my blue one which I thought was ok and the smoke was just from a blown turbo I guess it was a bit more than that! all will be revealed when I pull it apart.
