just got a new computer and other bits ( thanks for the advice Mr groves )

but how can I change the keyboard settings. because if I try to type @ this is what a get " and vice a versa.

Hi Russ,

 

Goto control panel -> Regional and language options ->

 

On the first page make sure the drop downs are set to english - united kingdom.

 

Now to fix the keyboard:

 

Goto the languages tab.

 

Click the details button

 

under installed services remove the 'us keyboard' and then add the 'united kingsom one'

 

Reboot and check that only the uk keyboard is listed on this screen and hopefully it will be fixed.

lol guess I should have through about that :D, hope PC is going ok mate, read up on that subject last night, that book is awesome, and I could only be 12 weeks away ;)

I nearly got the tipex out to over write the keys :nelson:
