erm, id rather not thanks

Mine are fitted, and I'm still to take it on a night time longer journey yet since the re-build.

Dave - is there a box to mount? Where did you put it?

Craig, YES there is a box (ballast) I mounted mine directley under each light. As it comes with a double sided sticky pad, mine are stuck to the underside of each lamp unit, this way you take out the whole HID as a unit.

There are two units, I mounted the units in two places, the left(driver side) unit I mounted under the front panel, after reading someone else had done it, (I used the old screw position from the OE air filter), but I struggled to thread though the other side due to time, so I opted for a neat place next to the fuse box, (temp measure).

I,m sure with another 10mins I can mount this one under the panel as well.

To anyone about to fit some and to help save time while fitting I used:-

Materials-

Super glue and a female spade connector.

Tools

A ratchet with 10mm socket and small extension, (to remove front panel)

Plyers.(to cut off old male connector and fit a female)

You have to cut the headlight boot off the old bulb cables but cut it somewhere on the neck, doing this carefully you can re-use it and the original connector, then with the new bulb you get a rubber disk (a seal) fitted to the cables of the bulb, this can be glued into the original headlight boots base and give you an as new seal, you then cut the male connector off the old plug connector and replace it with the new female, other than this, its like changing the bulbs, tbh I have a nack of complicating things when I write them down, so its actually easy.

:D

Forgot to say, I cant believe the difference, my main beam looks poor now, I go down a country lane at least twice daily in the dark, now everything is light up in stark white, hedges, grass, and the edge of the road, all of these I never saw on low beam when cars were coming the other way.

This morning all the cars coming the other way didnt dazzle me, they looked like they had yellow lights (apart from an Audi TT which was the same as mine), I can only put this down to the fact my eyes didnt have to adjust to there headlights?

the only thing is I might have to do the main beam to keep up!
