Warren. I've got a Kodak DC4800. So far I've had no probs with it. Does what I want it to do. It didn't cost me a penny, but I think it retails at around £600.

Chris

I've got an Olympus C-2500L.

I'ts my second digital camera, my first being the Olympus 1400!

Other than my c**k up at the w/e it is excellent.

The things to look out for are resolution of CCD i.e. megapixle resolution, do you want an SLR i.e. don't get into the problems of paralax? must it zoom? Does it have manual override? What media does it use? And just remember, on the whole, you get what you pay for, mine was £700.

PS If you can afford it go for a digital SLR back, like the Nikon D1H or Canon EOS-1D, you can then use standard lenses, they are VERY expensive though.

If you wanna have a play with mine, ooh err mrs, before you but one your more than welcome.

Niiiiiiccceeeeee

Warren,

Digital Cameras are very hard on batteries, my Olympus came with NiMH rechargables, highly recommended, I would sugest buying 2 sets of 4 and a charger, my camera eats Duracels, however I can get upto 100shots out of the rechargables.

Just a thought

I tried to get Minolta to supply me these trade but the arseholes never came back to me.

Twits.

Warren,

I can supply most of the major brands at very good prices - up to a couple of hundred quid off the top models! Ask me for a price when you make up your mind.

I've got a Canon Digital IXUS - very small and easy to use. RRP was about £425 at the time and I got it for £305 I think...

Also 128MB Compact Flash Cards @ £45+VAT&Delivery

Chris.

NiMH batteries are actually better for Dig Cameras than alkaline, they supply higher current and recover faster. Cheaper too !

I have an old-ish Olympus c820 (I think) and it's still quite good, not quite up to the new stuff though.

I also have a spare 32Mb flash card if someone wants to make me an offer for it.
