NZR TVR Tuscan... OH MY GAWD!!

Hi Everybody,

My friend came over from London tonight with his new TVR Tuscan S which I had the pleasure of taking for a spin (almost literally!).

It is a truly ridiculously, insanely, mindnumbingly quick car.Acceleration in any gear at any speed is absolutely ferocious, that said, it is quite a handfull especially when the roads are damp.

For reference purposes, we drag raced it against the Z, which I am sad to say was absolutely massacred, the TVR being at least 30 car lengths ahead by 100mph the Z has felt a little sluggish on occasion, but tonight it felt SLOW.

I'm off to the bank in the morning to get a loan, not to buy a TVR, but to spend on my Z so I can get revenge! wink.gif

ok off the subject whats happenign with your car trey ?

My Zed has just had a new heater core fitted by SE(sorry for swearing Warren biggrin.gif ) and she is back on the road(touchwood/praise the lord an all that).

Oh I'm also getting a new P.C next week so prepare for beatings on U.T! ha ha

I don't think any money spent on a Zed will put it in the Tuscan class, it's simply a different type of car - they weigh next to nothing and have a huge engine.

A mate of mine has had 2 Griffs and now has a Tuscan - awesome. Nothing more so say really (except depreciation! - OK it's not as bad as some cars but when you lose 50% (of >£40K) in

In the new evo they are talking about the tuscan R which is supposed to be mind blowing, i do take my hat of to them, they make cars that go in a straight line like few others.

Although in a recent car mag, they take a tuscan out to germany for a top speed run, and it was quite funny,

the clocks on the car were reading (well of the clock)

the digital readout was saying 185mph

and the sattelite tracking device used to measure accuratly was reading 165mph???

superguy.jpg BUFF MAN 300ZX SUPER HERO!!!! or is that DUFFMAN????

Wait until we finished our little "fun" project that I'm helping a friend to achieve.

Get a VG30DETT

Rebuild it to 3.1 l

Tune it to the 500/550 hp range

install it in a.....Lotus Exige (all carbon fiber construction).

THAT should be quick.

And yup....we already have the engine, we had it into the car (custom mounts), we have all we need available (including some titanium that we'll turn into parts)

Zee you

Henri

They do sound absolutely awesome cars, AndyP was telling me about his mates last week. However, some funny stories mentioned in amongst the banter aswell...still cracking me up just thinking about it! biggrin.gif

TreVoRs are silly cars, FFS, my Mrs. Turbos Range Rover clomps a mean hoof if you boot that and that's the 3.5 litre V8! So fuck knows what the Griffs are like with a tuned 3.9 litre Range Rover engine with monster torque etc. and piddly plastic bodies???

However, I know that the Z isn't the most reliable car, but I do have to agree with WaZZa on this one! They cost a packet to run in terms of servicing and are real buggers in the reliability stakes! Have never heard anything good about them running for long periods without something crapping out wink.gif

Cerberas are renowned for having mechanical and electrical problems. However, cheap to buy! Lotta perf!!! biggrin.gif

Cerbies are truly awesome - I was so close to buying one, but I went for a nice reliable Zed instead !

Still might get one for a cheap runabout though (when I win the lottery!)
