Two candidates have come forward for the position of National Events Organiser. Voting is now open to full (subscribed) members of the Club. The poll will run from the 25th January and finish on the 8th February at midnight. The successful candidate will be announced on the forum.
Here are their statements (in cronological order of receipt) of why they feel that they are suitable for the role:
Rich Newton (chunk)
I would like to apply for the position of National Events Organiser.
Id firstly like to say well done to Mike (Kirbz) for what he has done for the club whilst he did the role.
With all of the spare time i have i believe i can dedicate myself well to this role, I enjoy arranging the midlands meets and would continue to do so with the national events. As mentioned, i have lots of free time which would enable me to spend a large percentage of it sorting and arranging the national meets. I am also a person who likes to make the best of a situation and am also reliable.
Rich (chunk)
Marcus Rogers (mrogers)
I would like opportunity to serve the club as the New National Events Co-Ordinator. Since becoming the SW Regional Events Co-Ordinator I have been looking pro-activley increase the events available to all members of the club, including the possibility of Navigational Rallies and Concours events that not only give credit to those who have spent time and money tuning their zeds, but also to those who spend time and money keeping their zeds in as new, unmolested condition. My occupation allows my vast amount of time to carry out my responsibilities for the club and I have never missed a Meeting or event since becoming a member, including attending Regional Meets some distance from where I live.
Regards Marcus
