just to let u know , ive just spoken to an insurance company about my car . I told them about the mods...18" alloys , Greddy intercoolers, Stage 2 garett turbo's, 555 injectors , £3.5k ice install , mongoose exhaust straight through and they said that was fine. Im 25 with zero no claims and been driving since 97. They said the reason they could do a good deal is by putting it on a classic car policy limited to around 10k miles a year ( fine by me !!) due to it being over 10 years old now ( 1993 ) covering ALL the mods to a very acceptable price and fully comp all for .......£851.40 !!!!!!

Didnt they ask you if it was an import...? not very good if they didnt , cos if you where to have an accident (hope you dont) then they would not have paid out.:x:.....:xxx:'s

Well double check - they may have changed their mind if their underwriter is diferent, but of course you told them that your car is a Fairlady, right ? That's how they'd know. Although, they should have asked ....

I just called for a quote and was told they wont insure an import without at least one years no claims.

 

Think you best give them a call and make sure you get your policy changed.
