this piece of adware got me last night! what a pain in the arse

Installed SpyBot and Adaware in the end (I know, I should have had these running anyway to block it), but they still couldn't completely remove it.

As soon as I fired up IE it would try to put itself back.

In the end I found something called CWShredder. This is specifically designed to remove it, so if anyone has the same problem, just donwlaod that straight away then install Spybot afterwards

I have a problem with this on my work computer. damn right it is a PITA!!! Have you got an address for CWShredder dude?

spysweeper from http://www.webroot.com will take care of coolwebsearch too

Guys you can kill it manualy

Peice of P iss.

Thoes things install a directory that is hidden, if you look at the Adaware search list and clickon more info for the problem it will give you the directory string. i.e

C/program files/heap of poo/lump up junk.exe

copy the lump of junk.exe file into search and delete it. then manualy delete the folder the same way.

then goto regedit and do the same.
