Just been reading the 'How Long Have You Owned Your Zed' thread and wondered why do people like the Zed on here.

Is it the looks?

Or is it the Speed?

Or is it the pulling power? ;)

Or somthing else???????????

Personally I like the looks, I know that there are faster and better looking (but only just ;) ) cars out there, but from the moment I first saw one infront of me, with what looked like blown turbos, I just knew I had to have one :D I cant say the speed, as the last time I drove mine it still had the Jap limiter on (now been removed) and ran like a bag of crap if you floored it!!! Hopefully it'll run better now :D

Dave,

I have all ways wanted one since my old man had his in 1989  Since owning mine as you know i have played slightly with her but all i can say is "i just love" the drive, the looks of the car and the looks from the people in the street and in there cars

Cant really put my finger on what i like the most  The CAR full stop :D if you know what i mean..lol

Wot other car goes like stink?

looks a million$$$$$$$

and is under 30 Grand?

cus i been lookin and cant find any!!

so best keep the zed!

Have to disagree about another car with better looks once deswaged and 90'spec bumpers applied.

I think we had a poll similiar to this before but its the whole package for me...the drive, power, looks, stance and the way its way different to other motors in the looks department. Thats why I can never get my head around changing the rear lights for those minging round ones!!! rear clears all day long... ;)

Echoing the Sarge's comments, I wanted one for many years. The Z32 is (to me) a beautiful car, lovely to drive etc. but it's something more than that. I remember hearing it said that Japanese cars are technically excellent but lack soul, but the Z cars have that in spades.

I maintain that you don't own a Z, the Z owns you.

Alan.......

ps.

Not a truer word spoken :D

I never thought I'd get sucked in (apply your own jokes ;) ) to all this modding malarky, but I have. I've spent a fair packet (not as much as some, MAC  ), somthing I've never done on a car before, and I've loved some very nice cars (well to me anyway).

It's like a really good woman, leaves you with empty pockets :D

Yup...Its the looks...

Thats the look that those so-called "sports car drivers" give.

They love their car but cant help but falling to the aggresive charm of the Zx.

Above all its Different and all about the drive :D ...Not the journey :headvswal .

 This is what we all got a car licence for ...And coz there Dam Quick!!!

  ThankYou NISSAN

where's the "all of the above" option ?

That is a very good option......

unique

280bhp just for the rear wheels

two turbos

I can get insured for a resonable price considering

i love my z

when something breaks i fookin hate it

when its fixed i love her again :nana2:

I dont own a Z, (booooo), but for me, a Z with the later spec front bumper, clear tails, and no spoiler has to be the best looking car out there, no doubt about it for me. Greg's above is exactly the look I love... and unlike alot of other "good looking" cars out there, the Z has the power to back it up :)

Even taking her down to the garage to have some things tidyed up this morning made me feel good, and thats a 4 minute trip.

Thinking about it, a better poll would be, 'How many of you who have posted here will still love the zed so much in two years time, or more?'

I can see the Zed still sat in my garage when I am 50.....if I make it to 50 that is(New years res:Must cut down on beer) :D

For me it's the looks of the car, and the looks you get from everyone else while you're driving it, from pedestrians to other car drivers. I love the community feeling of owning one, geting a flash of the headlights and a nod or wave when you see another one is a great feeling. The fact that it overtakes with such ease, 3rd gear power is insane! I love the size of it, it's a big car unlike the little mazdas and hondas, and that gives great road prescence.

Over the past two months it's looked like I'd have to sell my Zed, and that would've really hurt... I can't say I'd felt that way about any other cars I've owned...

Plus, the insurance is very affordable for what it is, I couldn't believe how cheap it was!

Also, my wife loves it, she loves being driven around in it and drifting, shes actually worse than any of my mates for yelling at me to get it sideways lol

This might be heresy, but I'm not overly worried about the looks. For me it was simply a case of power for the money (and luxury and practicality to a certain extent).

Sure, it's a classic shape and dead sexy an' all, but for me nothing will ever beat the shape of the Countach - so anything else just isn't worth getting all excited about.

but for me, a Z with the later spec front bumper, clear tails, and no spoiler has to be the best looking car out there, no doubt about it for me.

:D :D :D :D

Its the looks, sound, speed............the whole package for me.

It's only been away for just over 2 weeks and im getting adjitated. I need my Z fix :D

It's the Zed's looks that originally hooked me. Every time I go down to the garage, no word of a lie, it still amazes me that I own a car like this! Also the "presence" it seems to have on the road can't be beat. :D

Yep, defo the Looks! I first saw a zed 2 years ago and thought OMG what the F is that it looks awesome I have to get one! The looks, the speed, the pulling power, it just goes on and on.

I am actually thinking of selling my z, but only for a short wheel base!

Wanted one ever since I saw one in late 89/90. Family practicalities stopped me having one then so 10 years later i bought one.

I bought it because they still look fab, with pure and simplisticly elegant lines and look more of a thoroughbread than anyother sub £50k performance car. If you add that to brutish power delivery, with a chasis that delivers and rewards the brave with as much adrenaline as you can take. Unlike the Skyline which is too poised to scare properly and doesn't need mastering. Also it hasn't attracted a boy ricer status like Skylines and Supras. Maybe thats why Z owners seem a nicer more down to earth crowd than other sportscar clubs.

It was the looks that initially drew me in, it's been by favourite car for years (had posters on my wall and everything!!) and I still get an adrenaline rush every time I drive it. The awesome power and amazing road presence was obviously attractive to me, a nice plus you might say ;), but deffo the looks that got me hooked. And I love the way pedestrians turn around and stare as you drive by :D :D.

Why is it that we are so willing to keep spending money on them though?!? No matter what needs doing/fixing, I always manage to justify it somehow!!!
