Why did you get a dual Xeon?

 

Are you gonna use it as a server? I cant think of any games which are able to use the ability of a dual processor setup.

I play games in the CPL. Thats the Cyberathlete Professional League. And most of the better gamers use dual xeons. Plus I wont need to open the case for a couple of years

Well I think you are insane, spending that much on a computer ;). Partley jealous but, I wouldnt use it to the full extent and would be a waste for me ;)

 

I can see if I can get one of the 6 or 8 xeon servers from work if you want. I sure they wont notice one of them going missing ;)

Ive burned up at least 7 machines now playing games. I tell ya. if you want to know if you machine is working right, go to a games tourny, 2 hours in there and....Sniff Sniff "can anyone smell something" ahh foock get the fire extinguisher.

shame they dont have gainward golden sample ultras. but hey, im not gona need to wory about that for some time. should be able to get 30-50 gamers on my machine without a problem now.

Their tests some games showed a good improvment in performance, not double speed infact no where near it, but a lot of games showed a reduction in speed.

as long as i can play my lovely eve on dual 19'' lcd in uber resolution its worth the money that way i can see my apoc in its full glory.........you defo need to get in on the lvl4 missions m8 we had a ball last night

Yea i saw a few like that, but they only looked at 1 person in a game. FFA games have a fair few people in them, and clan wars, well they just get silly. But no matter what the machine, its only as good as the weakest link.
