Well as 2004 draws to a close I got around to thinking of what's happened in my life this year and the top 3 "events" would have to be:

 

1. My daughter doing her first Bungee Jump, Freefall Skydive and getting a Job with Brittania Airways

2. A fantastic summer holiday that took me from Land's End to John O Groats and then over to Orkney.

3. Getting my first Zed and discovering this site (Hello Mac and Jonno and Jonce and Cadpaul)

 

Anybody else prepared to share their 3 most memorable moments of 2004?????

 

A very Merry Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous 2005 to you all

 

Phil

1. Starting the Z engine up for the first time after a 10 month rebuild.

 

2. Getting my full time job.

 

3. Buying a house which I absolutely love, after looking at a few which I liked.

1. Being able to bend my knee instead of my femur for the first time in 20 months:D

 

2. Beating shrimpy down the pod by 0.035 :nana2:

 

3. Meeting some great people off this here forum/club (whatever we are)

The arrival of my Daughter :nana2:

 

Starting ZTech :dance:

 

and two many too mention from a great bunch of people on the board roll on 2005 :smash: :smash:

It's been a mediocre year!!

1, Leaving the Army after 22 yrs :dance: no more Dodgy tours.

2, Buying my house with my Partner Michele :slap: for being slushy.

3, Buying my Zed and modding her into Zelda :nana2: (3a) finding this forum.

1. Going to bed with 4 birds in ibiza then passing out :cry:

2. Getting a 13.5 sec quarter along with 160mph out of me Z :nana2:

3. Getting done in my Z by a Renault 5 gt turbo at the pod :shock:

 

Has all been good though roll on next year :nana2: :dance: :hyper:

1. Finding out the Wife is pregnant with out second child

2. Buying the zed, joining Forum/club and meeting those of you I have met so far

3. ....um...2004 aint over yet, Im hoping something else interesting will happen :smash:

1. Entering the world of the Z, and discovering you lot (made some good mates, you know who you are:D).

2. Holiday of a lifetime in Las Vegas with my beautiful wife and our two best friends.

3. The birth of my first nephew, Joseph.

 

Wonder if next year will bring the ominous 'pitter-patter of tiny feet' for me? Can you get a baby seat in a 2+2?

2. Going to South Africa and going down in a cage beside Great white sharks!

 

3. Going to Florida in the middle of hurricane jeanne! Eating good food, going to the theme parks and firing guns galore inc a Fully auto m16 :nana2:

C Buying my first brand new house.

3/meeting some good peeps on the forum :D

1. driving my Z after having the inital major oil + boost leaks fixed and having the 0-60 drop from 7.8 to 5.8 :eek: :eek: :hyper:

2. start going out with the girl ive fancied for ages (now a year ago and still going strong!)

3. enjoying my first proper holiday in ages and really finding time to unwind

the birth of my son alfie

getting my car running right at last

going on a rolling road day with the gt4 boys and kicking all there asses

Erm highlights or lowlights, make up your own mind

 

1) Splitting up with my fiance

2) Blowing oil seals and dipsticks everywhere on my Z

3) Refitting the engine after sorting the oil seals to find it had cracked ring lands (although it did drive all the way to pod, record a 14 second 1/4 @ 104mph, then drive all the way back in this state :D)

 

Yeah its been a shit year, roll on 2005. Sorry to put such a downer on your thread but I really and honestly can't think of anything good thats come out of this year....

 

Oh hang on, the arrival of 4 cute kittens - yeah that was ok, although now I have SIX cats :eek::D;)

Yep its been a mixed year so far.

 

1] getting my Z back from the body shop after 6 months of rangling with my insurance company.

 

2] Blowing the Z up within 2 weeks of getting her back then spending £15k on a new engine with go faster bits (well it better be if I ever get the ba5terd run in)

 

3] Having 3 great kids that keep suprizing me both good and bad.

 

3a] Meeting you lot and making some good friends.

 

Splitting up with my Mrs next summer as soon as the Lads finished his exams. So there's a real fun time to look forward to. (bend over and prepare to be Rogered)

1. Sell XJS 10 MPG buy Zed 6 MPG

2. First Zed drive.

3. See all the Zeds at the pod :duffer:
