Auto vibration after changing gear

hi i'm new to the club and have a problem with my N/A Z31 auto. when it's cold (i know this not to be a fault) it doesn't engage overdrive, thats fine and all gear changes are smooth. when it warms up enough to engage overdrive all gearchanges (up or down) with throttle over half down there is a heavy vibration as the rev's settle into gear. lasts about 2 seconds. it affects all gear changes except 1 -2 and 2 - 1 if anyone can point me the direction i need to look to sort i will appriciate it.
