There where 6 series of the 300ZX. You could not go to a Nissan garage in 1993 and buy a series 1 300ZX. You could have a 300ZX.

At the moment you can buy

2.0 GX 4 Door,

2.0 GX Sport 4 Door,

2.0 GX 5 Door,

2.0 WRX 4 Door,

2.0 WRX 5 Door,

2.0 WRX 5 Door SL,

Impreza WRX STi Type UK,

and that is not including the many estate versions and many smaller engine versions you can also get in the past.

well if you want to be pedantic, depending on where in the world you was you could buy a

TT targa top LWB

TT targa top SWB

TT slick top SWB

NA targa top LWB..............................

see where im going with this?? :D

Engine options?

3 litre Twinturbo 300bhp,

3 litre NA, 225bhp.

Subaru,

1.6i,

1.8i,

2.0i,

2.0i 4WD,

2.0 Turbo 240bhp,

2.0 Turbo 260bhp,

2.0 Turbo 276bhp,

2.0 Turbo 330bhp,

8 different engine options from which I know off the top of my head. And some had options of 4 door, 5 door, estate, coupé.

there not estates there wagons lol

Think the STI is faster than standard Zed.

at low speeds.....it does'nt have the legs to keep with a zed at high speeds though.

..and unless they know how to launch a 4WD properly(ie...loads and loads of revs, and drop the clutch) they wont get anything like the 0-60 time they are supposed to get.

launch a 4WD properly(ie...loads and loads of revs, and drop the clutch)

I can guarantee that's not the way to lanch a 4wd properly.

3ltr Scooby Eater

Fact had this row with two bloke out side a club one had a standard scooby the other was tuned they said my Z would'nt touch them! :nono: happened to see them racing each other one day dropped it down on standard boost and rinsed the pair of them

Yes and No....how many revs, and wether you do a Clutch drop or Clutch slip depends on the car and other factors (and how badly your willing to destroy your box in order to get the best possible time  )...but launching a 4wd to get its stated best 0-60 times is very different to how you launch a FWD/RWD car, and most 4wd owners, are previous FWD car drivers. :slap:

   (dunno what that means, but it sounds decidedly dodgy!! :D)

 Excuse the Drunken posts

I must concur on this, only mods I have are twin 5" exhausts, and I have completely caned all other Subaru's that have decided to have a go(and everything else)... Funnily enough, it's never me that starts off these "races" but with the look on their faces I can't just let them go, I feel obliged to burn off into the distance with my "300ZX" sign lit up on the rear light panel reminding them what they just got beat by...

hehe I don't think I'll ever get bored of that

Theres a local Pizza shop owner that has a rather quick Impreza and i completely wasted him in the swb and ive only got 2 gears at the mo!!!

They do sound nice thou, IMO of course :D
