I am trying to load my avatar, and it won't let me as it says that it is the wrong format. :confused:

 

How do i change the format???

As I don't doubt what you say, I've just asked two chaps at work the same thing, and they agreed with you. But I've just done it to prove to myself, JPEG to a GIF, by simply changing the file extension! This is working on Windows 2000 here at work, and I'm sure I've done it before at home on XP. I thought I'd done it before. Arr well there you go :)

 

 

Hmmm strange. Windows uses the file extension to determine what program to open the file with. I suppose if you had all extensions for an image set to one program, then your suggestion could possibly work, depending on how the program in question determined the file type :)

Not even sure how I stumbled upon this one, but knowing my knowledge of computers, I was probably just guessing originally and it worked :confused: But I still agree with what you say, as I have chenged the format in PhotoShop aswell.
