personal imports

hi all,

ive been reading through your forums and found it to be very intresting. anyway i was wondering if any of the members had bought their 300zx through an import agency. if so would they be able to recomend any of them, iam really intrested in buying a 300zx and think importing it will be the cheapest way to buy one. iam open to other suggestions if anyone has any.

I bought mine from DRS, an importer based in Finedon,(nr Worthing). No problems with them but the conversion work was done to a high standard, couldn't find out who they used though.

I presume they are still in business, but their web presence has evaporated.

cheers andyp,

ill send some of these guys emails to see what thier prices are like.

Aki,

I bought my car through North West Imports, based in Anglesey (but don't hold that against them. lol) found the service excellent, it's basically a one man band running through the web site.

They did an excellent conversion and the car was ready when they said, the valet left a little to be desired but hey, I can live with that biggrin.gif

I just checked their web site, they only seem to have one 300 at the mo and that's a n/a, here's the link anyway: http:/ www.northwestimports.co.uk/300.htm

Good luck

Tim

STAY AWAY FROM VEILSIDE.CO.UK

trust me on this, they are NOTHING to do with veilside/Japan.

HTH

I can recommend North West Imports too.

I haven't seen their 300ZX stock so low before. Worth calling Ian (Hazelaar) on 01407-761512 though.

Just a word of warning, depending on what year you are looking at if the car requires an SVA test then it will be required to pass an emmission test. Only trouble is it must meet emmission standards that have been set for 2003. Any performance car will struggle to pass this. I`ll find out what year car requires an SVA.
