Hi guys,

I'm looking for a small tft screen. I've tried all the usual suspects (Maplins, PC stores, Car audio/visual stores, etc) but they don't have what I'm after.

Specifically, I'm looking for a colour tft screen (upto 7" diag.) but without any external plastic casing. I'm also not too worried about the resolution. This is for a project I'm working on - involving a two way mirror and said screen. I've been told to buy a full unit and then dismantle it but would rather buy the screen component itself - got to be cheaper ...

Does anybody have any ideas as to where I can get something like this? I've looked on e-bay and a company called "Lilliput" seem to make the right size screens, but again, only with the outer casing. Surely manufacturers are getting these screens separately from the casings ...

Any pointers much appreciated.

Cheers!

Danny

EDIT: Oops, posted in the wrong section - sorry - could a moderator please move this to General where it belongs ... thanks!

Have you tried RS

hitachi make the screens for the lilliput, so it might be an idea to email Hitachi direct.

Lilliput are crap. Give me a call if you want, got a couple in you can have a look at. Second hand and one is already split. Nice and cheap!!

Oneday - thanks for the link. I had a look and they do actually sell what I want but far out of my budget.

Goit - good idea mate - I'll try that if all else fails
