Nice Job

Nice one looks good bud!!

Very Blue

Cheers guys!

Nice one! How long did it take?

Not too long. Took about 3-4 days, but i spent most of Sunday trying to find belts and polishing the water pipes, and ive barely done any work on any cars never mind a 300zx! Got a lot of guides on TT.net and on here which saved a lot of time.

The only really shitty bit was taking the old pulley off. Using a bent 2 leg puller didnt help though.

Very nice- I just wish I had had the courage to rip mine up like that- and the important bit- putting it back together (in the right order). Were you worried if it was the first major job you had done? Everything go on easily? I spent flippin hours trying to put the air intake pipe back on because it kept getting rolled up underneath.

Well, i had my car serviced recently and the only negatives were to replace the front brake pads and all ancillary belts. I thought, if i was replacing the belts i might as well get a lightweight underdrive pulley. Most of the other bits had to come off anyway. I got some good deals form smithy and Pete Shrimp and thought it would be best to do it all in a oner.

It was a little tricky lining up the hard pipes correctly, but if you just spend a little time and make sure everything is sealed ok, then everything should be minty. :hyper:

Topped it all up with water, taken it for a drive and everythings fine. runs nice and smooooooooth :)

I was at the side of the road at the time with engine grime ( ) up to my pits.

Sorry Scott - I was talking to a colleague named Mike at the time of writing that ... Doh! :slap: I did something similar the other day - was standing in the office kitchen writing what I thought was my name on my lunch before putting it in the fridge. Come lunch time I go to said fridge to find my lunch missing with just the yellow sticky left saying "William" in my handwriting. Turns out I wrote his name on the bit of paper because I was talking to him ... Must be more careful about things like that.

Anyway - I'll see your order when it comes through.

Cheers mate!

Nice one. It'll be in the new year and ill be looking for bargains. lol

Scott, that looks very nice indeed.

.....and polishing the water pipes

Can i ask though, was it easy polishing the water pipes, I'm assuming that you have polished the standard ones? Although looking at the pic, it looks like a kit

Yeah, polished the standard ones. It was fairly easy, just takes a little time. I rubbed them down with wet and dry, using about 3 different grades. Cleaned them up, then went to work with the polishing compound, then with the buffer and finished off with a little Autosol. ;)

Looks great Scott :bow::cool:

Cheers Pete, Recognise a few bits? lol

Yup lol   Mind if I pinch your picture for my site?

Help yourself!
