I've heard tell the first organised cruise is happening, TV coverage and convoys coming from all over the place. Trade stands etc. I was wondering if anyone else has heard, has any more details and if you're planning on going, maybe we can meet up and convoy into Southend?

 

I know there are a few members who reside in Southend on here, do you know what's happening?

Yep I know all about this event, loads of peeps off another board I'm on will be going. First legal cruise in Southend but be warned if you are going, apparently plod will have flat bed trucks on standby and rumour has it they will be stopping one in four vehicles for spot checks. So make sure you've got legal plates, tax, MOT and insurance etc.

 

Max Power will be there, I think one of Sky's new motoring channels are using the event to start their new program off.

 

I would've gone but off to the Bike Show on Sunday at the NEC so will be back home in de Wales.

 

I really don't know how anyone with even a slightly lowered car will get from one end of the seafront to the other with those massive MO FO speed mountains in the road! FFS! They really do take the p1ss big time.

Which board is that? Could you give me the link please? I'm keen to find out more. :)

With massive media coverage, this is the event of the year to get seen at,

 

Keep watching the New’s near the end of the week as we are on Friday/Sat,

 

Streetlife Tv are in attendance recording for there new DVD, Max Power and Fuel and Overload, a new sky channel which is using the event to launch.

 

Can I add a few pointers to make the evening go a bit smoother?

 

On the A13/A127 make sure you keep to the speed limits as there will be cameras in operation, we have warned you!

 

When entering Southend please make sure you keep an eye out for all signage to help you park in the best place, We have manned 24/7 CCTV in all the car parks that has been set up just for the event as we said it was a MUST! Also there are security personnel walking the car parks to keep an eye on your cars.

I know mate, I should pop down there tonight and take a pic of one of the stupid speed mountains and post it up! My Renault has only been dropped 35mm and I struggled to get over them without scraping so f\/ck knows how some of these cars that are slammed proper are gonna make it.

 

Should be good though, not all Corsa's and Focuses round these parts you know...seen some seriously nice metal while I've been down here. ;)
