fook me if they can miss a firing range and hit a school on home ground what chance have our lads got in iraq!

Quite unbelievable!! Actually, come to think of it, it isn't really.

We can't really throw stones, since we live in a glass house.

One of our RAF lads dropped a practice bomb outside someones farm in Yorkshire, instead of on the practice range 30 miles away..

Oops.

Really .. I didn't know that DOH.

At least we mainly get it right when we actually go to war though.

IIRC we lost more soldiers at the start of the Iraq war 2 from 'friendly fire' than from the actual enemy. I have done various military excercises with American troops and I can honestly say that they are the biggest bunch of fookin pussies there are. Even had to have a bloody hot dog van following them around everywhere

   Oh man, that cheered up my Friday afternoon! Are we sure it was an accident and not 'special' training for Iraq?!?

As for the RAF and the farm, well at least they missed it (although I'm not so sure that is a good thing if they were aiming for it! LOL!)

Lol - so true.. my Dad was out there the first time around at the tail end of things - the Brits were living in tents, while the Americans had a fully air conditioned, all the comforts of home, "little America" built..

Still, I did get some nice presents brought back from the BX ;)

And hell, if I was out there, I know which digs I'd rather be living in

LMFAO .. You have to laugh don't you. I served in the first war and it wasn't very pleasant, spent most of it in a bloody warrior tank. Not hot dog vans to be seen

Still at least I'm not bitter :D :D

When I first read the title of this thread,I thought it was about tuning and BHP

no I can say we are not proud of that...not to mention thats only about 35mins from where I live....but I wouldn't go as far as saying what was stated in the original post. Shit happens...we are lucky that no children were in school that day.

Always know that you do have US members on this forum.

/me

Speedy I wouldn't take too much offence from it, just a bit of light hearted banter.

Although we did get on our high horse when 300zxclub slagged brits off. So we're hypocrites

Its not so much that its about US individuals its about me knowing the pilot personally and knowing exactly what happened. The electrical system in the plane malfunctioned and caused an erratic gun fire off in a unforseen direction. He never pulled the trigger and I know exactly where the school is at and I've been to the gun range were all the Airforce pilots go to run gun testing and bomb drop offs.

We have a testing range about 30mins from my location that they test out all their weapons.
