How to open a bonnet when the release cable has come loose

Just thought I'd post this picture :(

My bonnet wouldn't open but I could hear the cables trying to pull the release mechanism.

Only way through was throught the headlamp panel

I removed the intake bits and accessed and undid the release catch assembly and with the help of a mate with small hands managed to loop the nobble on the end on the cable back onto the crappy bits that hold the nobble in place.

Anyone attempting this - wear gloves as the headlamp panel is made of fibreglass which itches a lot.

I wont put the headlamp panel on parts for sale list lol :D I have kept the zed badge though, might go on my wall somewhere

Cheers

Pete
