Well a few posts have got me thinking about my veloved chariots,

Age 17;

1st car a Seat Ibiza 1.5 with a Porsche system engine, wow I thought I was the *****cks, wait for it.........three spokes!! OMG!! a big zorst and a 15 inch jamo in the boot with a dodgy german graphic equalizer flashy light amp thing

2nd car a Onion Ghia, fitted a full RS kit, had piper cams fitted, lightened flywheel so much stuff done to the engine, that infact, it ran worse than ever before, occasionaly would keep up with my friends, hanging S1 RST, but most of the time would splutter and die I briefly bought a R5GTT which I liked for its go kart ability, I didnt like the fact with more than two people in, it would turn into a steaming turb and you could be overtaken by fiat pandas.

3rd car R21 Turbo, heres the piccies

mynewercar1.jpg

mynewercar3.jpg

Man had it fully resprayed, spent enough money with prima racing to open a shop, pitty I forgot about the wheels and left 15 inchers on it lol mind you went like stink 252bhp at the time anf FWD  torque steer anyone?? kept this little guy for three whole years the longest record to date!!!! the things we do when we are young! This car has to win the smallest wheels ever on the biggest car lmfao.

Age 19;

3rd car Cavalier 4x4 GSI2000 not much to say other than very comfy, sounded like a angry wasp wish id never changed the zorst it was embarasing rattly noise, biggest mistake of my life as the R21 was soooo much better beleive it or not. Lowered usual crappy mods, had some bits done at power station in cheltenham who ripped me off on 320.00 for a chip!!! had a staggering 186bhp so I dropped fooking shit loads from the reno, couldn;t stand having a normaly aspirated car.

4th car Nissan 200SX, face lift model, very nice, bought a shit sounding lemans motorsport blow off valve for it and regretted it from day one, it is by far the worst sounding and made peice of shit ever, do NOT buy one!!! did the usual mods.

5th Car Mondeo 2.5v6 st24, not a bad motor, but I got bored and wanted to get a turbo again.

Age 20:

R21 Turbo (again!!!!);

mynewcar1.jpg

mynewcar2.jpg

mynewcar3.jpg

Still beleive it or not, nothing could satisfy the performance and fun of my prev r21 turbo, so I bought another, lmfao, this time I thought i'd do it properly (well for a R21 anyway), 276bhp despite changing nearly eveything on the ****ing car! still, for some reason the torque was was close to the bho figure, meaning the car would spin all the way to third gear. The car was running 20psi for a good length of time, my tron like gear changes bent and buckled various selector rods whilst the awesome pressure kept continuosly blowing off hoses, I spent more times on the side of the road with the bonnet up than any other car, but would I change it? would I fook. Never had one car beat me in a race in the dry. I miss this car.

Age 21

Nissan 200sx S14, wanted another taste of Jap RWD, as frying front tyres and getting no grip 80% of the time started to get tedious. Owned this car four three months, before deciding I prefered my prev S13 and so

Nissan 200sx S13 (pre facelift) some of you know her, she started off a shed and blossomed into a beauty with several thousands pumped into her;

low1.jpg

Not hugely powerful, but, 240bhp was more fun in this than any other car I'd driven.

Age 22

Well I was being a family man so bought ANOTHER modeo, ST24, seems like ill be having two of every car in my life for some odd reason!!!

car1.jpg

Age 23

Nissan 300zx TT

And she's as she is now after a couple of years on her!!

I did have various other cars but these were the main ones that I hold as memerable,

So whats the cars that you loved / hated in your life that you've ownded?

Aged 17: Mk. 2 Escort 1.1, inherited from my Gran. Learnt a) how to get sideways, b) how to get all 4 wheels off the ground at the same time and land successfully, and c) that if you duck when going over a level crossing at 70mph, your passengers bang their heads on the roof :D Lent it to a friend who kindly (not) wrote it off for me.

Aged 17 (still): 1.6 Talbot Horizon. Learned how to do donuts, 'racing starts' and how to burn out a clutch within 3 hours of having it replaced. Eventually scrapped.

Aged 18: permanent loan of my mum's 2.0 Capri Auto. Learned to control back end slides (very quickly - out of necessity). Also learned how to tell if traffic is coming from the sides at junctions other than by being able to look both ways (long, bullet-bulged bonnets make life fun!) Scrapped when engine blew up after my sister borrowed it and didn't check the oil and water.

Aged 18: Yamaha TZR 125 (de-restricted). Eventually sold due to skintness.

Aged 18: Yamaha SR 125 custom-type jobbie which nearly got me killed when I cornered it too fast (60 mph) on a muddy, wet road. You live (just) and learn.

Aged 19: Girlfriend's Fiesta 1.1 Ran until it died.

Aged 21: Girlfriend's Dad's 1.7 diesel Astra. Yawn.

Aged 22: Lancia Beta Coupe 1.6 twin carb. Cornered like it was on rails. Rusted to death and scrapped within 6 months. Still sadly missed :(

Aged 23: Sierra 2.0 Ran until dead.

Aged 24: Cavalier SRi. Nicked after 4 weeks of ownership. Gutted :(

Aged 24-28: Lots of disposable, un-noteworthy sh1theaps.

Aged 29: Carlton 2.0i CDX. Slightly modded. 150 mph :D

Aged 30 - 32: Carlton died R.I.P. Peugeot 309 1.9 diesel and Citroen BX17 diesel.

Very soon: a Zed (TT, manwell, preferably CrazyEddie's) - I think it's about time I had a decent car. I feel I've earned one ;)

My parents had one of them a while back, it was a bullet proof car, bloody lovely to drive, was auto too so lazy, on long journeys it was like driving your lounge lol. It was Bordeux red, I think most the CDX's I seen are with the BBS like alloys, good cars, had the double din blaupunkt sound system too, and i'll tell you what the speakers in it were amazing!!!! :D

Cant beat a good capri tho!!!!! :D :D

Yeah, it was the best car I've had so far - very comfy indeed (and quite practical too).

Ah, but you should - with a big sh1tty stick ;) At least they teach you how you should handle a skid - you either learn or crash ;)

Ok, here goes...from what i can remember...

Allegro estate

w00t, my first car was an Allegro too! Wish I had pics of some of these:

Age 17: S-reg Allegro 1100S, red, rusty, leaked like a sieve in the rain (damned good fun as a first car though) - ended up replacing carb jets, fuel pump and a whole lot more.

Age 17: L-reg Rover Metro 1.4Diesel - first company car, yay, cheap motoring! (Only crashed it twice :o ahem)

Age 18: L-reg Rover 218D - second company car (didn't crash this one)

Age 19: P-reg Astra 2.0 Sport - great car at the time, handled like a boat but quick in a straight line. Added a Halfords stick-on fuel flap cover :o and read too much Max Power :o

Age 20: F-reg Nissan Bluebird 1.8GS Auto - back to owning my own cars :( This was an utter sh*tter, never started right, stalled at the first junction you came to every day. Garage I bought it from got shut down by trading standards for selling nothing but sh*tters. Bought for £2500, sold for £500..

Age 20: L-reg Renault 19 16v - loved this car, and still miss it. Most reliable car I've ever owned! Quick and handled great, added lots of tuning bits (decat, chip, induction, brakes, wheels, exhaust etc)

Age 22: G-reg Renault 5 GT Turbo as a 2nd car - also loved this car, even though I kept breaking it. Still don't know how it survived running 24psi boost on a stock carb & turbo (when I bought it, some muppet had put the actuator on backward!) but crap was it fast!

Age 23: G-reg Nissan 300ZX TT Auto - replaced the Renault 5GTT. Bloody unreliable heap o crap ;) Still fell in love with it though..

aaronjb_side.JPG

Age 24: K-reg Nissan 300ZX TT Manwhel - replaced the Auto and then got shot of the R19 after a few months (when it got broken into, little f*ckers) - still love this car, despite it now being sat in the garage looking sorry for itself .

No pics of this one - must take some, if I CBAed to wheel it out of the garage ..

Age 25: '02 reg Toyota MR2 Roadster - became my main car while the 300ZX is in the garage. Reliable, drives like a gokart, little bit underpowered but f*ck me can you have fun on the twisties :) Drop top.. I've now decided I love convertibles.. The hairdressing tools that come built in are great too..

new-car-back.jpg

aged 17

1972 vw beetle 1300cc ( rusty and rotten but never let me down)

then another heavily modded 1972 1641cc dual webber beetle ( a nice car but never ran right and was a money pit)

mrk 3 1.1 fiesta ( too slow)

mrk 2 or 3 1600i orion (good fun, but introduced it to a lamp post and it came off worse)

E30 bmw 1800i (one of the most arse end happy cars ive ever diven)

mrk 2 escort estate diesel (biggest pile of slow crap ive ever driven) :D

s13 200sx (standard) was'nt that impressed with it

1992 uk 300zx (http://www.jds-300zx.co.uk)

xr2i 1800cc, great fun just like a gokart! full spax suspension, stainless exhaust, K&N filter

20 - Searra 2.0 GLX, first rear wheel drive and was always sideways

Do you know what, I had a 1.8 sierra for a while, and it was incredible the lack of grip it had, mind you the wheels and tyres were tiny, but in the wet it was a weapon!!! every corner and every bump it was going sideways lmao, good fun tho, cheap on bits and never let me down!

I tell you a car I do still like, the old Granada 3.0 mk1. They were the *****cks as far as im concerned lol.

I tell you a car I do still like, the old Granada 3.0 mk1. They were the *****cks as far as im concerned lol.

 My dad had the coupe the same colour as the one in the Parklife Video. Was built like a tank. Bloody head gasket went every other year though!

Would love to have one as a cool summer car to bowl about in.

Well here goes - let's see how the old memory banks are:

18-20 1977, VDN 683R, Avenger Super N 1500 Twin Carb Estate - hot snot up to 50mph and rwd!!!!

20-23 1984, A762 TFL, Vauxhall Cavalier 1,6GL - luxury, reliabilty and economy compared to my first car

23-24 1985, B511 FFL, Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6L Estate - Father In Law's ex company car and sold on at a handsome profit (don't tell him!!!)

24-27 1982, TPY 117X, Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6SR Hatchback - felt like a sports car what with those alloy wheels and Recaro seats!!! (I know better now!!)

27-31 1988, E767 KTR, Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0 CDi - real luxury and a fair old performer on the autobahn (was stationed in Ericland at the time)

31-32 1995, N133 TOJ, Toyota Carina E 2.0GLi Hatch - bought tax free, run for a year and 13,000 miles and sold on at a profit

32-32 1986, C423 JGR, Ford Granada 2.0 Ghia Hatch - big barge with armchairs for seats - went well and should've kept it longer

32-35 1992, K878 JSR, Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0 Diplomat Saloon - an insurance write-off, repaired with a new leather interior and new alloys+tyres and bought from a copper!!!!

35-38 various company cars, all diesels, all Vauxhalls and all doing spaceship mileages - I used to average 1400 miles per week

38-39 1997, Vauxhall Vectra, 1.7TD CDX - necessary as I was working at London Heathrow and needed the economy and comfort - ahh those heated leather seats...

And now.............

40+ - The Nissan 300ZX - 1991 J plate, J-Spec, Short Wheel Base, Manual, Normally Aspirated, Cloth Interior Dark Blue Beast. Unmodified apart from a replacement S/S exhaust, Sony Stereo and comprehensive security. Although plans are afoot.....
