Any recommendations as to where I can get this done in Yorkshire/Tyneside/ North East in general??? PPS don't do it, and I've been warned off Falcon Engineering in M'boro.

PPS are able to do the general servicing though - filters/fluids/plugs etc

Just need somewhere/someone to do the cambelt

I would go to Duffer, you have to put up with his Inane drivel, but he ain't a bad mechanic :D

Don't know if it's closer for you, but I just had mine done by Atkins Motor Engineers in Malton, North Yorkshire - they're Nissan authorised repairers.

Cheers hatstand - did they do the full service i.e plugs/filters/fluids etc or just the cambelt??

 

What sort of price region are we looking at - if I may make so bold as to enquire??

 

Malton isn't too bad a run out for me, especially that bit of road dropping down from Sutton Bank to Helmsley.

Sorry about delay in reply. I put it in for a cambelt + water pump change and anything not too expensive they found during this. Resulted in a couple of extra pipes etc and oil change. Taken the car there a couple of times now, given me good advice and not ripped me off - also don't mind if you supply your own parts :)

Have got the car booked in there for a cambelt change at the end of Nov. They're also gonna change all the ancilliary belts as well and let me have a courtesy car so seems pretty good all round.

The rest of the service stuff (plugs, filters, fluids etc) is gonna get done at PPS up in Seaham.

Time will tell................

Zed had the cambelt changed at Atkin Motor Engineers last Thursday. Friendly people, good service at a good price and a loan car too. They're also authorised Nissan dealers and look after several other Zeds. Thanks to Hatstand for the recommendation.

 

Also used PPS for the remaining service items: fluids, plugs, filters etc and again excellent friendly service at a good price.

 

Car's running nicely so can now start saving for some mods!!!!!!

I've just been informed of a garage in York that has done some extensive work on Z's - friend of a friend etc. Apparently they've done turbo, engine, exhaust etc work. Need some of that doing to mine so will give it a go :) Can't remember the name yet but it's behind the Odeon (The Crescent, Blossom St) if anyone else knows it....

The garage is Camerons. Took it in there a couple of weeks ago to free up a couple of seized pistons on my front calipers + MOT. I provided the new pads but even so the whole lot came to just over £80, not bad at all. I've just bought some Koni Sport adjustable shocks which they're fitting next week, and have a boost problem they're looking at....will let you know how it goes (if anyone's still interested !)
