my zed is running better at the moment then ever before

the only thing that is beigining to niggle me is

when you are slowing down or coasting

the auto box changes from first to second and back really fast

making the car jerk it seems to be worst in the rain

and i have noticed that some times when you start it up

the auto consult light on the right of the dash

flashes fast for about 30secs

im thinking tps

any advise thanks

ok bud...well iv got a manual and when i messed with the TPS i went for a drive, and whilst pressing the accelerator there would be no response other than a stalling type feeling then all of a sudden would accerate with no notice or warning.

re-ajusted voltage to TPS and everything was fine :) sounds similar to me only differance being that the autobox is controlling gear changes

HTH

greg

thanks greg

i also noticed last night the box would not change to top

i stopped the car turned off the ignition and started it again

and all was well ! ! top gear again

Steve do an auto diagnostic before random fiddling with the tps! it should let you know which specific component of the box as failed..if any? that is it may even need a flush? but unlikely with the auto light flashing.

There should be a link on AndyP's site... http://www.300zx.org.uk

if you need me to run a conzult over ur car mate to see if that shows anything, id be happy to do so.

hi mate last time vj ran the conzult on my car it didnt have the software for the autobox, has it been updated? if not i doubt it'l be of any use to steve:(

mine reads the autobox. dont know if it will show up autobox errors but does have an abutobax section that tells u what gear car is actually in what soliniods are on and off etc.

sounds good marcus what you doing sunday?

ryan did a consult on it once before but couldnt pick up gearbox

said it might be to do with the chip in the car
