Is it me, or is the standard of driving and awareness of other road users etc in this country just crap. It seems that every second car or Truck contains a muppett with only half the I.Q. of the sperm from which they sprang forth.

The other day I was driving along when in the distance and approaching fast, was the sound of an emergency service vehicle. I looked in my mirrors and could see an Ambulance (or for the Welsh Ambullanze) trying to pick his way through traffic. First I though what utter planks as no body tried to get of the road /over to one side or make any attempt to clear out of his way. (that could be rushing to save my childrens lives)

I slowed and pulled over to the curb, but the guy behind me was flashing his lights and honking his horn trying to pass me and pi55ed off because he couldn't get passed, because of on coming traffic. Who again could clearly see the Ambulance heading towards them and still made no attempt to clear a way for him.

Eventually the Abulance was right behind Mr no brainer and someone on the oppersite side made room. No brainner went past waving his fist and making gesticulations to the fact that I play with myself. The movements were obviously the actions of an expert. Just at that moment the Ambulance was upon him and with a roar of its clackston the expression on his face changed from anger to panic and his crap driving suddenly became down right dangerous as he swerved out of the Ambulances way and cleaned the flies of my front bumper.

At the next set of lights I pulled along side him and demonstrated that I did not have the same quality of grip and technic. Obviously he was embaressed at my acknowledgement of his master class proficientcy at slapping the salami and just went red and prettended I was invisible. Which I realise may be difficult for most people, but lets face it this no brainer never even saw a ruddy great Ambulance in full flight with flashing lights and clackstons blazing. So I had to concede, to him, just like the Ambulance, I was now officially invisible.

Rant over.

Theres loads of them around mate, Ive nearly been cleared up off my bike for moving out the way of a fire engine, Mr Chavalier SRi wasnt looking what he was doing and im fooked if i know how he missed me.

My Rant is also over

I hate the fookers who only slow down. I saw an ambulance coming towards me on quite a narrow road last week, so pulled over and stoopped. The fookin muppet who the ambulance was overtaking did pull into the kerb, but kept driving, almost causing the ambulance to ram me head on.

Funking idiot!!

I can't remember what programme it was on, but I'm pretty sure there were emergency service drivers on there saying that they didn't like it when people just stopped as it made life more difficult for them. I suppose if you're doing 60mph, catching someone doing 40 and you've planned where you're going to overtake them, having them slam on their brakes changes things very rapidly.

I think it depends on the circumstances at the time and sometimes it's better to speed up, rather than slow down or stop.

What ever you do you got to do it safely. So I slow down and get into the gutter or if its very tight get two wheels on the path where its possible. I've seen people just stop and some right on a bend! I mean Don't anyone think it's time we had an I.Q. test to determin wether or not people should be allowed on the road in the first place. I recon that would save more lives and reduce conjestion far more than speed cameras which I feel combined with people like Mr Nobrain are dangerous. Lets face it when he's steaming along. Whats he going to do when at the last minute he see's the camera.
