Ive never done it before so i went out tonight on a local industrial estate and did a few starts :hyper: what good fun tell ya what you dont half have to change into 2nd quick ;)

 

But do doubt i will stall it when i get there on the day :rofl: and make a fool of myself.

 

I am not taking owt out of my car cant be bothered but who wants a race with the banana?? be the last time on my standard tubs so will give someone a chance against me ;) ....if i dont stall

Well i have owned it for 18 months and spent a fortune on it so when do i get some return?? plus it will be a good test for when i do change the tubs and injectors etc to see what difference it makes.

 

and if she blows up then i didnt do a very good job rebuilding her ;)

After reading pete shrimps guide on fast get aways with the auto box im always doing it off lights.. (shame im not making it to the pod this weekend) probably not too good for the box though, how much for a manual conversion ?? :D

Haven't done any practise but I am hoping it will be alright on the day, I will probably be crap as I am still getting used to my new clutch...

since fitting my short shifter it seems as if gear changes are alot firmer obviously to do with less leverage! try to change to fast and it sticks a bit has anyone else found this :(

personally i practise at every traffic lights lol, I won't be at the pod though, always had more fun on roundabouts than straight lines :D

Had a few practices, have got rid of my ICE as all new stuff is going in very soon, might get rid of a few other odds and sods.

 

Managed to fook up a few starts (yep i know how can you fook up an auto start) got way too much wheelspin and when it changed into second, more wheelspin, was a cold road with coldish tyres thou..........

 

I just hope she doesnt go.....\\BOOM//

Mike im home in 6 days we could go to the industrial estate ( white lund or west gate ) and have a good old fasioned drag race ......cant supply the flag waving dolly bird though as my missus is full of arms and legs ( ready to drop the rug rat in November )
