I'm on another BB at the moment and what they do each day is setup 2 x Sticky threads in General called:-

 

Daily chat topic ***DAY - Thurs 7th Oct***

Daily chat topic ***NIGHT - Thurs 7th Oct***

 

So that people who don't have access to MSN for one reason or another can chat on the threads all day. At the end of the afternoon the DAY thread is locked and the banter can then continue on the NIGHT thread.

 

It seems to work really well. Then next day the two sticky's are nuked and recreated.

 

So this keeps most of the whoring off the topical threads, what do you think? Could we have something like this on here?

Would'nt it just be easier to create a chatroom?

No mate, maybe disable post count then for the sticky threads, not arsed about post count FFS! Just think it's a good idea as the threads get nuked each day and recreated.

 

As I said it works well on the board I'm on so just thought it might be good for here but as usual some people have to read an ulterior motive into a valid suggestion. LMFAO :D

There used to be a chat room on here many many moons ago but no one used it. Then didnt we set up a MSN chatroom where you didnt need messenger to work it? That was semi sucessfull, but I think it died down after a while.

Our firewall blocks all that stuff, hence the suggestion in the first place.
