Well my MOT is out for Tuesday so, its whether i can be arsed to get it done or not as the Z is being stripped and rebuilt over the winter, so its a bit pointless really!!

Oh well, I dont need to worry about expensive rear wheels when i kurb my Mondeo pissing around in the snow!!! :D

Didn't store it last yr, but will this yr....have no garage

to keep her in so been & bought a ''pukka'' cover for her.

Will hide her away @ my folks place to stop me driving her!

Will be getting a daily driver for the winter, probably a

mundaneo! Mmmmmm....nice!

PS: Everbody knows yellow is the fastest colour! (c'mon yewcheck, help me out here!)

no way! - i bought mine to drive, not to sit in a garage :nono:

Yup me too.....

Although I'm currently thinking of buying a 4x4 for the winter so I can get to work.....

What does everyone think of the Shogun - a nice 3000v6 can be bought for £3-4000, J/K plate with 70k on the clock ;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Me is going to take my zed off the road in December to avoid the icy conditions, will go back on the road in March 05. In the mean time i'm just going to have to drive my van all the time :(

must admit Im a bit worried about the salty roads.... dont think I want to lock her away for the winter though! only just got her back! :)

I found the hold switch on the auto was superb at stopping me from slipping around in the wet yesterday when I was driving in town, think I will be using that alot this winter! :)

I'll be driving my dark blue one all year round everyday after I get it back in a few days....

Yup me too.....

Get a HiLUX Surf mate, I bought one for Mrs. Turbo and it's bloody brilliant! Paid just over 3K for it. My Dad has got a Shogun and has had nothing but trouble with it (maybe car trouble runs in the family? Hmmm! LOL) cambelt went, gearbox synchros have gone and been replaced, new alternator, oh engine expired again recently so he's just lashed out another 2K for a recon. Says he's gonna run it until the warranty runs out on the engine then get shot and get a Surf.

Yup me too.....

Looks good mate....

Saw a couple of Shoguns on Saturday - both dogs :mac1:

Dealer reckoned there was nothing wrong with the engine - so WTF did it sound like all the bearings were clanking as if they were fecked

Thanks for the advice guys

Land Cruiser anyone????

Cruiser

Always liked the SWB Shogun but I gotta say a Surf is the way to go...

if you're looking at surf's be aware that there was a model change from 2nd generation to third generation in 1996. The 2nd gen was based on the hilux, the 3rd gen was based on the land cruiser prado.

The 2nd gen doesnt have a slip dif in the transfer case. To you and me that means that the 4wd is only usable off road or on snow. The third gen has the multi-drive or whatever-you-call-it which lets you drive in 2wd or 4wd or lock the diff and then low ratio.

If your looking at the 2nd gen go for the 3 ltr not the 2.4. It was underpowered and suffered from head problems.

alex
