Not much more to say really. The guy was a genius and a total one-off and whoever failed to give him the England job should be ashamed of themselves. :(

The guy was/is a legend, remember him at Notts Forrest back

in the 80's, i'm a Liverpool supporter, they were Liverpool's bogey

team! People tend to forget the achievements he has made...RIP.

true legend

the greatest goalscorer in Sunderlands history

a courageous and determined player

he played 61 league games for Sunderland and scored 54 goals!!!

his playing career was ended with a collision with Bury keeper Chris Harker at Roker park Boxing day 1962

I second all of that. I was privileged to be a Forest fan in the greatest period of their long history. Only Cloughie could have picked up a mediocre second division side and made European champions out of them. Thanks for those wonderful years, Boss!

A top top bloke. The ONLY reason he didn't get the England job because he wasn't a "YES" man. He wanted things done his way or his way, and the FA would never allow that!!!! Shame...................

RIP Cloughy.

Show them how to play football up there......................
