I am a subscribed member on here already, so no need to panic everybody, I just wanted to share this info with you that I have recently learned. I think you will like it.

The engineering company I work for has recently had an enquiry for some turbo pipes for a Nissan engine.

No real details were available to me (I did ask the questions believe me) other than it was a twin turbo 6 cylinder pushing out 550bhp

Now this engine is being developed by a certain Mike Costin and Keith Duckworth ;)

Now what we have been asked to quote for is

26 off L/H Compressor Inlet,

26 off L/H Compressor Outlet,

26 off R/H Compressor Inlet,

26 off R/H Compressor Outlet.

As you can see, this seems a lot more than just a 1 off for a racer or so, maybe a Le-Mans challenge would need half a dozen or so. But 26 sets??

The engines are being assembled here in the UK, but the cars are being built in Japan.

To have L/H & R/H seems to me like a V6?????

And because of the quantity maybe a road car??

Sound like a Nismo 350Z to you does it???

Also, this car won't be seen for a while yet, so keep this under your hat ;) :D

Mac now sending *************************** a PM:D;)

I take it you dont folow the European GT series because they have a team that has already stated that they will be running a 350 at tnext years 24 @ lemans as a viable contender. the car ran 8 hours at neubugring (however its spelled).

Cosworth are supposed to be doing some work on developing the new 2007 Skyline engine in the UK which has been rumoured to be based on the 350Z engine which is a V6 as you all know, also the car is MEANT to be built in Japan. You never know.

And since Ford are trying to sell Cosworth, I'd get paid upfront before doing anything for them!

Dave8, I don't follow it much, will have to have a look now though.

DanDud, that might just be what this lot is for......

Gio, LOL... will send them a Pro Forma then.

Am currently downloading PSP8 and going to edit the drawings (in tiff format)

Anyone know how i can attach them being unregistered on this name?

It does sound very interesting though, any findings let us know...

Definitely sounds like it could be development kit for the '07 GT-R.

There's already a few variants on a Nismo 350Z and they're all a bit naff. :(

Seems a bit strange that they wouldn't make it in house, though?

OK... with some luck will post the drawings today.

Thanks chunk for that link mate. you are a star. :D
