Call me a big ponce, but after a year of ownership I 'experimented' with sliding the back end. I am usually pretty sensible when it comes to driving and I admit I am pretty shite at it. I don't want to knacker the car and so don't tend to boot it- each to their own and all that. But, a few days ago I decided to give it a go, and a have no idea if my 'technique' is textbook, but just went on the accellerator going round a corner in second and went into the corner a little faster than I normally would and felt the back end slipping just enough. Did the same on a few roundabouts and feel I can do it 'to order' now. The back seems to go fairly controlably, and it feels quite good. Don't know what it looks like from out of the car- probably highly tame, but for me it was big thrills

I tought my tyres just wouldn't let me do it. Am I very sad for driving like an old man all this time?

Good work Rich...the Z kind of 'wills' you to do all that stuff, I too am normally sensible, in my Z I do ferk all MPG and my tyres are wearing out fast.

Took a friend out the other day who described it as a 'tiger waiting to pounce' I can understand what he means....hehe

LOL, well i have to wait the 10 mins for you so you can get me my wheelchair...........slow MOFO

I haven't really got the balls for it, but I think it's a bit addictive, now I'm sizing up every bend for potential. But I am like thinking I'm really going on the edge and if someone was looking on they would probably see the back twitch a little and in the meantime I'm thinking I'm doing this cray drift.....

I like the idea of shitting up old men in Skodas, but maybe I'm that old man just in the wrong car. My dream, and it's only a little one, is coming round the last bend to work just as the boss gets out her Rav4 and giving it loads as the pink Armani suit walks by. You think I'm sad yet?

Just get it in a big empty car park at night and go hell for leather with your foot to the floor it always works for me...

 I saw you Rich! Halfords/Sainsburys roundabout on Saturday morning, hooning it round :D

I was in the black Vectra waiting to pull out of Mothercare...

I had just had words with a merc driver who was being a tosser and I had just been/was just going to mothercare too. Ah, my exotic exciting lifestyle. The trouble with having a distinctive car is people recognise me driving like a dick head. Back to practicing this morning :D

youre a big ponce

Took longer than I thought coming!! :)
