Anyone owned/driven both an 200SX (S13) and 300ZX?

I've had my 200SX now for coming up 10years. It's still a joy to drive and has had basically nothing go wrong with it in all those years.

I'm toying with the idea of a change (at long last). I thought of getting a Honda S2000, but was rather disappointed in them.

So the next idea is maybe save £10000 and instead get a 300ZX.

Has anyone driven/owned both of these vehicles (an S13 and 300ZX) who can give me some idea of how they compare.

Is the 300ZX noticably faster for example?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated...

I believe the last 300ZXs were sold here about 96/97? So that would mean having to buy a 7-8yr old car I guess :(

Yep, Mrs Turbo had a 200 briefly until the engine blew up! LOL :(

Jap imports are not only in better nick for the year but they generally have low mileage.

I've had mine for 4 years, it's now 14 years old yet still pretty reliable.

My s13 is running 260bhp and Crazy Eddie quite regularly pushes me down the A12 with ease

I did have the edge on him ONCE but I had to really nail the car and once we got over the ton I knew what was coming ;):(

Having driven Edds' car on a couple of occasions I was suprised at how nimble it feels, despite being a fair whack heavier than my S13. It's actually very tight through the corners and only the masses of torque upsets it if the boot goes in harder than it should ;) Bumps, twisties and country lanes weren't half as nailbiting as I'd expected :)

It feels a lot sturdier at speed too. On top speed challenge (ahem!!) day Edds took me down the runway at in excess of 150 and it's just so relaxed and capable. My car would have felt like it was about to come apart at the seams!
