well after being with my insurance company for 8 years i have to move on cos they wont insure me for the mods i intend to add.

over a week ago i rang them and got through to some chap in a foreign country who could barely understand english :mac1:

told him i was declaring some mods that i was "having done", and ended up taking 15 minutes trying to explain was dump valves, alc's and turbo timers do

he says well they change the performance of the engine so he has to go to the underwriters and will get back to me.

a week later her rings me and says they cant insure the car cos its too high performance! (even tho i tried to tell him that dump valves and turbo timer are there to protect the turbos and the engine, and dont increase the engine performance - well i was 98% correct ;) )

so looks like i will be on the blower soon trying to sort out insurance for a modified zx - gonna be a ballache

(know who to try first tho ;) )

All insurers are a disgrace. How many other industries regularly stab loyal customers in the back as often as car insurers
