The ABS light is on and the pump on the distribution unit above drivers rear wheel is running continuously. I've checked the obvious. Any ideas??.

It sounds to me like a computer fault, anyone got a spare. Thanks for any help.

There is a fault diagnostic built into the abs system which may help you out, what you need to do is remove the rear seat (just the bottom cushion) on the drivers side you will see the ecu for the abs brakes, there is a red LED diagnostic light on it.

Drive you car at least one mile at above 30mph and then stop DO NOT switch off the engine but take a look at the diagnostic light, it will be flashing a series of codes in a blink manner, by counting the blink rate it will reveal where the fault is hopefully, can post up the fault codes if you need them.

Thanks for the help. The computer showed 9 flashes which meant motor/relay fault. Changed the relay now OK.
