PMSL, in 1904 we got a grand total of 2 (1 Gold, 1 Silver) and then the next one we get 136....

1904 was boycotted by a few people as many thought it was a bit silly. Had obsticle course and the runner had to jump through water barrels and .. well you get teh idea.

 

Baron De-Coubetain was not impressed as it did not uphold the olympic ideals.

 

Most we got in moder history was 57, in one of the eastern block countries. cant be assed to look them up. I beleive it was because the USA and Ustralia where not present. But im doing it from memory.
